Wetzel gives AAAS presentation on malware

Feb 18, 2007: Susanne Wetzel gave a presentation at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) 2007 Annual Meeting, in San Francisco. Professor Wetzel presented "Malware in a Wirelessly Networked World" during the session, "Malware: The Next Big Internet Threat." The presentation was followed the next day by a press conference attended by over thirty journalists.

Professor Wetzel and Professor Rebecca Wright have developed a new undergraduate degree program in cybersecurity with funding from the National Science Foundation. Stevens is one of the few universities worldwide to offer such a cybersecurity degree program at the undergraduate level. Under the directon of Professors Wetzel and Wright, a new Cybersecurity Lab is currently being designed and built in The Lawrence T. Babbio, Jr. Center at Stevens, with equipment grants from Cisco and SUN, as well as additional funding from the National Science Foundation.
